Comparing Translations of the Bible
Comparing Different Translations & Versions of the Bible
Welcome...

Thank you for choosing my site. My intent is to show you that King James Version is not only translation to use. There are people out there saying that King James Version is the only English Bible. I feel that what speaks to you should be from God. Please pray to God to guide you to the right translation (version). The main thing is we should remember that Jesus Christ die for our sins. If you want to e-mail me any question feel free. My E-mail is nyne_fyve@yahoo.com

 Thank you

Revelation 1:5

And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, (KJV)

When you look below, you might see what I see.

Amplified Bible reads:

and from Jesus Christ the faithful and trustworthy Witness, the First-born of the dead [first to be brought back to life] and the Prince (Ruler) of the kings of the earth. To Him Who ever loves us, and has once [for all] loosed and freed us from our sins by His own blood.

Contemporary English Version (CEV) reads:

May kindness and peace be yours from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness. Jesus was the first to conquer death, and he is the ruler of all earthly kings. Christ loves us, and by his blood he set us free from our sins.

New American Standard Version (NASV) reads:

and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him who loves us and released us from our sins by His blood

New Century Version (NCV) reads:

and from Jesus Christ, Jesus is the faithful witness, the first among those raised from the dead. He is the ruler of the kings of the earth. He is the One who loves us, who made us free from our sins with the blood of his death.

New International Version (NIV) reads:

and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood,

New Living Bible reads:

and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness to these things, the first to rise from the dead, and the commander of all the rulers of the world. All praise to him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by shedding his blood for us.

New Revised Standard Version (NRSV) reads:

and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us and freed us from our sins by his blood.

What I see is that we are saved through Jesus blood. Just remember John 3:16

The Ten Commandments Texas Style

People here in Texas have trouble with all those shalls and shall nots in the Ten Commandments.
Folks here just aren't used to talking in those terms. So, some folks out in west Texas got together and translated the "King James" into "King Ranch" language:
Ten Commandments, cowboy style.
Cowboy's Ten Commandments posted on the wall at Cross Trails Church in Fairlie, Texas.

(1) Just one God.

(2) Put nothin' before God.

(3) Watch yer mouth

(4) Git yourself to Sunday meetings.

(5) Honor yer Ma and Pa.

(6) No killin'.

(7) No foolin' around with another fellow's gal.

(8) Don't take what ain't yers.

(9) No telling tales or gossipin'.

(10) Don't be hankerin' for yer buddy's stuff.

Now that's kinda plain an' simple don't ya think?
